Heather Speert has worked as an Aesthetic Nurse for the past 20 years. She has also been a licensed Esthetician for over 30 years. She started her career as an RN working with patients in the oncology and hospice settings, which instilled her beliefs in the importance of touch and holistic wellness. Heather also worked as an operating room nurse, where she witnessed the skin’s healing process following injuries and surgeries.
After years of practice, Heather followed her passion for skincare and aesthetics to a plastic surgeon’s practice. Here, she found an environment that matched her passion for skin health and learned about the importance of proper skin conditioning and professional skincare regimens.
Heather became a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist through the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses to certify her experience with various aesthetic treatments, including injections, light-based, and radiofrequency treatments.
Recently Heather has completed training for PDO threads, updated her CANS, and advanced training on PRF/EZGel and PRP Cocktail®.
As a clinical nurse trainer for over four years, Heather trained medical professionals in radiofrequency and light-based services. She traveled along the East Coast teaching medical professionals on using these trending aesthetic devices. Heather has learned that there are many treatment options, and she stays updated on the current trends in treatments and procedures. Heather has also expanded her scope to aesthetics and wellness.
To meet the needs of a changing society, Heather consults with medical professionals and clients about the current research on medical aesthetics. In addition, Heather regularly visits aesthetics and wellness conferences to further her knowledge of current procedures.
