PHYSICIAN-GRADE PEEL Heather speert

Physician Grade Peel Hampstead, MD

PCA Skin Care created a Peel line to address all skin tones and types, even sensitive skin, and acne-prone skin. With the PCA Physician-Grade Peel, this medium-depth peel uses 30% AHA to break down textural irregularities, congestion in pores, and layers of dead skin, improving the texture while healing the skin. Physician-Grade peels are more aggressive and have a longer recovery time, but the benefits after the healing process include smoother, clearer skin and increased collagen production that will continue to improve your skin tone and texture.

Heather will do a thorough assessment of your skin and skincare needs to determine if the physician-grade peel is the right one for you. Downtime is typically at least 7-10 days, during which time you should avoid direct sunlight and wear at least an SPF 30. We recommend a series of six peel treatments scheduled 4-6 weeks apart to reach the best results.

  • What is the PCA Physician-Grade Peel?

The PCA Physician-Grade Peel is a medium depth peel that uses 30% AHA (alpha-hydroxy acids) to treat the top layer of the skin. By breaking down irregularities on the texture of the skin, layers of dead skin, and the congestion in pores, this peel can heal the skin by regenerating new skin cells leading to smoother, clearer skin.

  • Who can benefit from the physician-grade peel?

Because the PCA Physician-Grade Peel is a medium depth peel, anyone who is looking to reduce sun damage, fine lines, acne scarring, or uneven skin texture. A physician-grade peel provides a deeper exfoliation with longer-lasting results.

  • Is there any recovery time?

The downtime is typically 7-10 days. You may experience redness and tenderness following your peel. Your skin will peel for at least one week during which time it may also be easily irritated. We do not recommend having any other facial treatments for 10 days after your physician-grade peel.
